WHAT'S HILLVIEW LIKE?

Welcoming, warm, friendly and loving are a few of the words that people often use to describe Hillview Church. We are a church of all ages, from babies to those in their 90’s (and all ages in between!) and our programme of activities endeavours to reflect that.

We are a contemporary, Bible teaching church that uses a mixture of newer songs of worship and traditional hymns in our sung worship. We have an emphasis on the centrality of the Bible to our daily lives and endeavour to keep our teaching with one important question in mind, which is…”how does this passage of Scripture help the congregation on a Monday morning - in work, at home, at school or college?”

Pastoral care is shown in many ways, not least through our fellowship groups and through the pastoral care team. One of the team of church leaders (elders) is employed full-time as our Pastor/Teacher and he co-ordinates this vital aspect of our church.

We also like to have fun together and regularly have social events with both specific groups and the wider church in mind.
