YOUTH

If you’re in school years 6-13 we would love to welcome you to be a part of our groups at Hillview.   We run several activities each week in term-time which are led by teams of Christian volunteers from our church who are all DBS checked.  We operate within a carefully designed Safeguarding Policy, and all who come need to fill in an Info Card signed by their parents.  Do come to one of our activities to see what we’re about!

For more information on why we do what we do please see our vision statement.

If you have any questions about the Youth Ministry at Hillview or any Safeguarding concerns please call or email the Church office on 01452 618485.

WHAT'S ON

FRIDAY CLUB is a youth club (on Fridays!) for those in school years 6-8. We meet in the main Church building from 7-8.30pm and throughout the term have games/activities/craft nights and special events. We always have a short Christian message to encourage us to think about God, Jesus and the Bible. Parents, we would love to get to know you better, so please say hello to the leaders as you drop off or pick up your young people.  If you have any concerns, please speak to one of the leaders.

YCO (Youth Chill Out) is a Friday night group for those in school years 9-13. We start by meeting and registering in the Church flat and then usually end up in the main church building. We like to occasionally go to worship events or join in with activities in the local community.

ALIVE
meets on a Sunday morning during the service and is for young people in school years 6-8. We aim to have fun getting to know the bible together to apply it to our daily lives.  Alive meets in the sports hall at church every Sunday.

RISEN also meets on a Sunday morning and is for young people in School years 9-12.  We aim to get into the Bible and see how it helps us to work out how we live as Christian young people in the world.  Lots of discussion takes place in this group which meets up in the Church flat every Sunday morning.

REFRESH is a worship service taking place every third Sunday of the month at 6.30pm. These services are open to all but aimed at Youth and Young Adults. We have a mix of guest speakers/ worship/ drama/prayer. Refresh is planned and delivered by the young people supported by the youth team.

ACF (After Church Fellowship) meets after most Sunday evening services from 8-9.30pm in local homes. It’s a chance for young people to chill together and build friendships. Keep an eye out for the location of ACF each week in the Church bulletin. ACF meets at Church following every Refresh service.

MENTORING/PASTORAL - We would love for every young person at Hillview to have a mentor of the same gender, someone who they look up to and can learn from. It is important we encourage one another on the journey of exploring or living out faith and so do get in contact if you would like to be paired up with somebody.

ALSO…Look out for other events. Young people from Hillview attend the Revive youth event in Churchdown each February, are invited to S T R E T C H weekends at TRAC near Newent, go together to Soul Survivor in the summer and can join a team working with Mission Possible in Bulgaria for a week!
